About us
We create innovative and immersive gardens with an emphasis on soil nourishment and plants that encourage wildlife and can adapt to a changing climate.
As RHS-trained gardeners we think practically about the spaces we create while our detailed knowledge of plants helps us to create beautiful gardens with year-round interest.
Sustainability is key to every design - wherever possible we use local materials and repurpose existing features.
Our garden philosophy
-
In our planting schemes we aim to layer planting through the seasons. Layering ensures year-round visual interest, as well as protecting soil fertility and suppressing weeds.
We orchestrate with structural plants to add interest in winter, along with underplanting and interplanting of bulbs, self- seeders, and ephemeral plants throughout the year.
-
We like to contribute to supporting our local British wildlife by maximising on plant and habitat diversity. By mixing our native and non-native plants can increase biodiversity and support more species and their lifecycles.
Varied planting conditions and substrates can support a broader range of plants.
-
In our design and planting schemes we pay close attention to the existing conditions and how these might be adapted to support the right mix of plants for the space.
During summer we think about water cycles, and how can we mitigate water runoff and wind evaporation. In the winter we like to think about the carbon cycles, and how we can we build topsoil and keep the soil ecology healthy.
